Pellet production technology

Pellets (wood pellets) are biofuel produced from sawdust, wood chips and other woodworking waste. It represents cylindrical pellets of standard size.

Production process:

The resulting mass enters the dryer, from it - to the press pelletizer, where wood flour is compressed into pellets. Compression during pressing raises the temperature of the material, and resin is released from the wood particles, which boils and glues them into tight cylinders. It takes 4-5 cubic meters of wood waste to produce one ton of pellets.
Finished pellets are cooled, packed and delivered to the consumer.

Pellets are environmentally friendly fuel with ash content not more than 1.5 %. When pellets are burned, exactly as much CO2 is emitted into the atmosphere as was absorbed by the plant during growth. Fuel pellets differ from ordinary wood by their high dryness (8-12% moisture vs. 30-50% in firewood) and higher density - approximately one and a half times. These qualities provide high calorific value in comparison with wood chips or firewood - when burning a ton of pellets (pellets) approximately 5 thousand kWh of heat is released, which is one and a half times more than conventional firewood.

Fuel pellets are divided into industrial (gray) and domestic (light).

Domestic (light-colored) fuel pellets are used for heating homes by burning in small boilers (pellet boilers), stoves and fireplaces. As a rule, they are 6-8 mm in diameter and less than 50 mm long with ash content up to 0.5%, packed in bags of 15-30 kg. and stacked on a pallet.
or in bags (big-bags) of 800-1000 kg.

Industrial (gray) fuel pellets with ash content up to 1,5% are burned in boilers of higher capacity in order to obtain heat and electricity for settlements and industrial enterprises. Industrial pellets can be of larger diameter.

Delivery:

Pellets are shipped by railroad transportation in placer quantities
in grain wagons (hoppers) in batches of 50 tons on the terms of DAF - the border of the Republic of Belarus or by motor transport in bags (big-bags) 800-100 kg. on the terms of FCA - the warehouse of the Seller.
